Curious about tracking with your dog?
Ever wondered what it’s like to work alongside a dog who is an active, thinking partner rather than just following commands?
Now’s your chance to step into a training day with experienced handlers and see firsthand how our approach builds skill, trust, and communication between dog and human.
This isn’t a beginner class, a taster or drop-in session. It’s an opportunity to observe, ask questions, and get hands-on experience in a supportive, real-world setting. You’ll be learning alongside those who already train with us, seeing how their dogs work and what they’ve gained from this style of tracking.
You will spend a full day within one of my regular tracking groups: a small, supportive circle of wonderful handlers and their fabulous dogs.
You’ll be welcomed right into their rhythm - guided, encouraged, and inspired by people who truly love tracking and what it brings to their lives.
It’s a rare chance to:
- Be immersed in a gentle, skilled, and joyful approach
- Learn far more than you thought possible — even if you’re a complete beginner
- Spend the day with people who care deeply about communication, nuance, and the work between dog and human
- Spend a full day in the field with experienced handlers and their dogs .
- Observe how tracking unfolds when dogs are given autonomy, and humans refine their handling skills.
- See the difference in relationship-building compared to traditional dog training.
- Get a feel for whether this approach resonates with you and your dog.
For those who are experienced, this is also an opportunity to take on a mentoring role, with my guidance, and help newer handlers get a feel for the process.
Bring your own dog - all breeds, from puppies to seniors are welcome (although no bite history or bite sports dogs please).
If you’ve been quietly thinking about it… this might be the moment.
- Maximum four participants.
- Taking place DT2 Dorset
